A Kingdom CEO Blueprint

Akin Thomas speaking to the Dominion Mandate community

Romans 12:1–2 speaks about transforming our minds — being different. There should be a clear distinction between a CEO who operates in the Kingdom and one who operates in the world.

I've been asking God: how do I take this enterprise from where it is to where it should be? And in that, I've been seeking to understand — what does a Kingdom CEO truly look like?

1. Seek His Righteousness

Matthew 6:33 tells us to seek first the Kingdom and His righteousness. It's not about our standard, but His. And you don't understand His righteousness unless you intentionally pursue it.

2. Intimacy

Last year I prayed to achieve more by doing less. This year, my diary emptied — fewer meetings, more gaps. My instinct was to fill it, because busyness felt like leadership.

But the Holy Spirit said: "Spend time with Me." That changed everything. The space wasn't for more activity — it was for Him. In prayer, in the Word, in stillness, I received more clarity than in constant meetings.

You cannot know God without prayer. You cannot follow Him without the Word. And you cannot lead without the Holy Spirit.

3. Stewardship

Your business isn't yours — it's entrusted to you. That means accountability, responsibility, and adding value in all you do.

4. Servanthood

The world puts the CEO at the top. The Kingdom flips it. We serve those we lead. Jesus modelled this when He washed the feet of His disciples. Jesus tells us, "For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you" (John 13:15).

5. Love

If God is love, it must be evident in how we lead — towards staff, customers, and suppliers. Not as a slogan, but as a reality.

So the question is this: what blueprint are you adopting as a Kingdom CEO, and does it align to what God is showing us — or are we still being consumed by what the world says?
